Loo Movement® Shoulder and Neck w/ Valerie Loo, PT - Part 1

  • 11881 Skyline Blv Suite G Oakland, CA 94619 (map)

Do you struggle with shoulder and neck tightness or pain?

You’re not alone! With time spent hunched over our computers or looking down at our phones, chronic neck pain is more and more common, and shoulders are vulnerable to injury. In this 90-minute workshop, you will learn “Counter-shapes”, body poses that counter our habitual postures, that elongate tight muscles and strengthen underdeveloped ones.

Valerie Loo, licensed Physical Therapist, Pilates, and Yoga instructor, will teach you basic anatomy and biomechanics of the neck and shoulder so that you'll have a greater understanding of how to improve flexibility, improve your alignment, and reduce pain. You’ll leave with home-exercises specifically designed to practice what you've learned and maintain the benefits you feel.

This workshop is perfect for both seasoned Loo Movement practitioners as well as anyone interested in learning Loo Movement Counter-shapes for the first time. Some prior experience with movement or meditation is helpful. Please contact Valerie before attending the workshop if you have an acute injury or mobility limitation at info@loomovement.com. This is a 2-part series, with the second workshop focusing on hip and pelvis, and a discounted price for attending both.

What is Loo Movement? Loo Movement is a 6-step mind-body practice that will teach you how to reset the body to optimal alignment, so that you’ll move better and can continue to participate pain-free in the activities and sports you love!

Investment: $55 each or $100 for both. Please use link for Loo Movement Series at checkout.
