Receptionist

We are seeking a professional and courteous receptionist to be the first point of contact for our two wellness clinics located in Albany and Oakland. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to handle various administrative tasks efficiently. As a receptionist, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for visitors and employees, rescheduling appointments, and maintaining the main spaces of the clinic.

This role reports to the clinic manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Front Desk Management:

    • Greet and welcome visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor.

    • Manage incoming calls, texts, and emails directing them to the appropriate person 

    • Maintain a neat and organized reception area.

    • Client education of packages and services available 

    • Provide information to clients and assist them with any inquiries.

    • Market research for the founder as we build the clinic.

    • Rebooking clients for upcoming appointments

  • Administrative Support:

    • Assist with general clerical tasks, including client files, running errands, etc.

      eceive and distribute incoming mail and packages.

    • Coordinate and schedule appointments, and help maintain our practitioners schedules.

    • Market research for the founder as she builds out the clinic.

    • Filing emails at the end of each workday.

    • Adding wellness events and yoga workshops to the company calendar.

    • Manage and maintain the company’s Instagram account.

  • Office Maintenance:

    • Ensure the reception area is well-stocked with necessary supplies.

    • Cleaning and maintaining the clinic space.

    • Report any maintenance or security issues promptly to the clinic manager.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Proficient in Mac operating system (Drive, Sheets, Google Docs)

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Ability to maintain a calm clinic environment 

Additional Requirements:

  • Punctuality and reliability.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Strong customer service orientation.

  • Adaptability and a willingness to take on various tasks.

  • Knowledge of basic office equipment and procedures.

Compensation:

$16 - $20 depending on experience level.

Massage Therapist

Nourish Osteo & Wellness is a patient centred wellness clinic. We take pride in offering a calm and nurturing clinic environment for our practitioners and patients alike.

We are looking for an experienced massage therapist who is available to work across our 2 locations in Oakland & Albany, CA, for up to 20 hours per week. If you are an exceptional practitioner with less availability we would still love to hear from you.

We are looking for:

  • Prenatal, Postpartum and Relaxation focussed massage therapist

The ideal candidate will have 2 years + massage therapy experience and be California certified or grandfathered in with a high level of experience. You will enjoy working along side other modalities in the clinic, in particular osteopaths. You will gain referrals from within the clinic and we encourage you to make relationships outside of the clinic. The ideal candidate would like collaborating and communicating on care when needed with in the practice.

  • Hours and days are flexible depending on clinic and room availability.

  • You will be required to rebook clients, online booking is also available

  • Training on client treatment plans and retention offered

Yoga Instructor

Nourish Osteo & Wellness has opened a yoga studio with the intention of supporting our clients to move more often to support their overall health and well being!

Our schedule is expanding and we are looking for highly trained teachers who enjoy intimate settings and a class focussed on supporting and nurturing everyone in the room.

Our studio attracts the those new to yoga or that have had a long hiatus from movement due to life and injury. We would like to create a space for these people to come and defamiliarise themselves with the power of movement and their body.

Teachers with a background or keen interest in yoga therapy, a solid foundation in anatomy, hatha or slow flow style classes would be the most ideal fit. We like our classes to incorporate meditation and pranayama to ensure a well round class focussing on fully connecting the student with their breath and body.

Class times we are looking to fill include 7am M & Th, 7pm T - Th, Sunday evening 6pm

Clinic Manager - Application Closed

Nourish Osteo & Wellness (NOW) is looking for a part time office manager to work across 2 locations, Oakland & Albany. Most hours will be in the office with a few hours flexible and virtual. This position has the potential to grow into a full time position for the right candidate looking to be invested in the growth and development of a wellness center with a clear vision or expansion centered around providing high quality alternative wellness options for the community. If you are motivated and passionate about health, wellness and healing then this is the right place for you. We have big dreams and would love to find an office manager that is excited by our mission and would like to grow with us. 

Nourish is an expanding wellness center that offers one-on-one appointments with osteopathic manual therapists (internationally trained, non physician) and massage therapists. We have a newly opened yoga studio and rent our space out for workshops and special events in Oakland. In Albany we have an infrared sauna for use by clients and the general public. Some treatment rooms are utilized by subletters. 

The NOW office manager is the gatekeeper of the clinic and is responsible for the daily running of a nurturing, caring and efficient private practice allowing our practitioners and teachers to focus and do their job at a high level. This includes a smooth running of the front office responsibilities as well as support, inspiration and direction to all staff. You will be reporting directly to the clinic director and will collaborate and communicate with our yoga studio coordinator. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directs daily operations of the front office;

  • Manages day-to day operations of the wellness center; 

  • Communicates with clients and prospective clients to ensure their questions are answered, needs are met, appointments are booked and rebooked;

  • Superb client focussed telephone and email communications;

  • Tracking phone calls and call conversions 

  • Effectively retain prospective clients through education of offerings and understanding of benefits (training provided);

  • Implementation of clinical systems to ensure smooth daily operations

  • Oversees client scheduling, invoices and payments. Software, Noterro (training provided) 

  • Oversees running and co-ordination of studio with Mindbody software

  • Oversees practitioners schedules to ensure optimal utilization through management of waitlists and marketing;

  • Client education on other offerings - yoga/workshops/sauna

  • Marketing strategizing and execution as directed by the clinic director, collaboration also encouraged. 

  • Working closely with the clinic director and studio coordinator on structure, offerings and expansion of the yoga studio. 

  • Complete weekly financial reports via google sheets

  • Tracking of marketing, google ads, meta business suite 

  • Performs other duties as directed, developed or assigned.

  • KPI’s are used to track some of the above responsibilities

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree 

  • Passionate about alternative health and wellness

  • Expertise in public relations and marketing communications, an asset

  • Computer experience with proficiency with Google Doc, Google Sheets

  • Proficiency in Canva

Language Skill:

Reasoning ability:

  • Ability to problem solve and be self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail

Pay Rate/Hours:
